Amends Title 3 (Agriculture), Chapter 17 (Commercial Feeds) of Delaware Code to increase the registration fee on manufactured cat and dog food over 3 years to $100 per each product per brand (currently $23/year).

HB 471Animal Diseases – Disclosure:
Amends Title 3 (Agriculture), Chapter 1 (General Provisions) and Title 29 (State Government), Chapter 100 (Freedom of Information Act) of Delaware Code to protect the safety and security of individuals, agricultural operations, and animals and avoid any vulnerabilities that disclosure poses on the control and eradication of disease among animal species.

SB 212Delaware Native Species Commission – Membership:
Amends Title 29 (State Government), Part VIII (Departments of Government), Chapter 80 (Dept. of Natural Resources & Environmental Control), Subchapter III (Delaware Native Species Commission) of Delaware Statutes to restrict membership on the Delaware Native Species Commission.

SB 228Rabies Vaccination Requirement – Cats and Ferrets:
Amends Title 3 (Agriculture), Part VI (Domestic and Foreign Animals, Birds, Reptiles and Insects), Chapter 82 (Rabies Control in Animal and Human Populations), Section 8204 (Rabies vaccination required for dogs, cats, and ferrets; anti-rabies clinics) of Delaware Code to add cats and ferrets to the existing requirement that dogs must be vaccinated against rabies.

The “Izzy the Cat” Act amends Title 10 (Courts & Judicial Procedure), Chapter 39 (Pleading & Practice) of Delaware Code by adding a new Section 3928 to provide for civil actions for tortious injuries, including death, to lawfully owned pets.
