HB 681/SB 443Tax Credit – Landlords/Companion Animals: Amends Title 10 (Income Tax) of MD Tax-General Annotated Code by adding a new Section 10-754 to allow certain landlords a credit against the State income tax for certain rental dwelling units in which, during the taxable year, a landlord permits certain tenants to reside with companion animals.  DIED IN COMMITTEE
HB 965Compensatory Damages Awards – Injury/Death of Pet: “Buddy’s Law” amends Section 11-110 of the Maryland Courts & Judicial Proceedings Article to alter the maximum amount of compensatory damages that may be awarded to an owner of a pet from a person who tortiously causes an injury to or death of the pet under certain circumstances.  DIED IN COMMITTEE
HB 1375/SB 815Non-Economic Damages Awards – Injury/Death of Pet: Amends Section 11-110 of the Maryland Courts & Judicial Proceedings Article to provide that a person who tortiously causes an injury to or death of a pet may be liable to the owner of the pet for noneconomic damages.  DIED IN COMMITTEE
