|HB 965||Compensatory Damages Awards – Injury/Death of Pet: “Buddy’s Law” amends Section 11-110 of the Maryland Courts & Judicial Proceedings Article to alter the maximum amount of compensatory damages that may be awarded to an owner of a pet from a person who tortiously causes an injury to or death of the pet under certain circumstances.||DIED IN COMMITTEE|
|HB 1375/SB 815||Non-Economic Damages Awards – Injury/Death of Pet: Amends Section 11-110 of the Maryland Courts & Judicial Proceedings Article to provide that a person who tortiously causes an injury to or death of a pet may be liable to the owner of the pet for noneconomic damages.||DIED IN COMMITTEE|
