(LD 308) Amends Title 7 (Agriculture & Animals), Part 9 (Animal Welfare), Chapter 717 (Animal Welfare Act), Section 3906-C (Animal Welfare Advisory Council) of Maine Revised Statutes to authorize the council to meet more frequently than the required meeting every other month.  
ENACTED (EFFECTIVE ON 6/21/25)
HP 327Animal Rescue Standards:
(LD 498) Resolution requiring the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to adopt rules that set standards for animal rescue entities.

SP 342Pet Fees – Rental Housing:
(LD 824) Amends Title 14 (Court Procedure – Civil), Chapter 710-A (Security Deposits on Residential Rental Units) of Maine Revised Statutes Annotated by adding a new Section 6030-K (Pets) to regulate pet fees in rental housing.

SP 689Kennel Licensing Oversight – Departmental Authority:
(LD 1771) Amends Title 7 (Agriculture & Animals), Part 9 (Animal Welfare), Chapter 717 (Animal Welfare Act) of Maine Revised Statutes Annotated to strengthen oversight of kennels by changing the licensing authority from municipalities to the Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry.
