Amends Title 4 (Business & Commercial Law), Subtitle 7 (Consumer Protection), Chapter 97 (Retail Pet Stores), Section 4-97-109 (Applicability to Other Laws) to clarify the applicability of the Arkansas Retail Pet Store Act and to preempt certain laws concerning retail pet stores.
|SB 339||“Working Animal” Protection/Exclusion of Dog and Cat Sales: |
Amends Title 14 (Local Government), Subtitles 2 (County Government), Chapter 16 (Powers of Counties Generally) and 3 (Municipal Government), Chapter 54 (Powers of Municipalities Generally) of Arkansas Code to amend the law regarding working animal protection to: (1) Exclude the sale of dogs and cats from the provisions of these sections; and (2) Provide a definition for “working animal”.
