Summary:
The “Animal Care and Control Omnibus Amendment Act of 2022” amends Title 22 (Criminal Offenses & Penalties) amends Title 22 (Health), Chapter 7 (Animals, Pet Shops and Animal Hospitals), Section 700 (Pet Shops; General Provisions) of District of Columbia Municipal Regulations by adding a new Subsection 700.15 to restrict the sale of live mammals, amphibians, arachnids, birds, or reptiles in city pet stores.
