Elizabeth Kunzelman Brings Decades of Experience in Pet Care Community

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Pet Advocacy Network (PAN) announced the appointment of Elizabeth Kunzelman as a Senior Policy Advisor, where she will support PAN’s lobbying and advocacy efforts. Her addition comes at a time when the pet care industry faces mounting regulatory and legislative challenges across the country.

Kunzelman grew up with a family-owned national pet retail chain and has spent her entire life working to improve the pet industry. She was until recently Vice Chair of the PAN board.

“We are deeply grateful to Elizabeth for her years of leadership and service to PAN,” said Chris Fleming, Chairman of PAN. “While she is stepping down from the Board and her role as Vice Chair, we are excited that she will continue supporting the organization in a senior Government Affairs role, where her expertise and passion for advocacy will continue to make a meaningful impact.”

PAN approved the appointment of John Mellace, owner of Pet Express in Saugus, Massachusetts, to the Board of Directors to fill the seat vacated by Kunzelman. In addition, the Board approved the election of Robert Cook as Vice Chair, Brent Neil as Treasurer, and Amanda Fredal as Secretary for the remainder of the current officer terms.
