Amends Title 4 (Civil Procedure), Chapter 4.24 (Rights of Action and Special Immunities) of the Revised Code of Washington by adding a new section to provide immunity from civil liability for damage to a motor vehicle arising from the rescue of vulnerable persons or domestic animals.

HB 1078Pet Insurance Policy Restrictions:
Amends Title 48 (Insurance), Section 205 (Pet Insurance), Section 48-205-050 (Exclusions—Waiting periods—Requirements) of the Revised Code of Washington to provide restrictions on canceling or refusing to renew pet insurance policies by pet insurers.

HB 1201City/County Disaster Preparedness – Pets:
Amends Title 38 (Militia & Military Affairs), Chapter 38.52 (Emergency Management) of the Revised Code of Washington by adding a new section to require Washington counties and cities to include pet-friendly emergency shelters in their disaster plans and provide related information online to enhance public safety and preparedness.

HB 1716Intact Dog Possession Limits/Care Standards:
Amends Title 16 (Animals & Livestock), Chapter 16.52 (Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Section 16.52.310 (Dog breeding—Limit on the number of dogs—Required conditions—Penalty—Definition) of the Revised Code of Washington to: (1) impose stricter limits on the number of dogs with intact sexual organs that an individual can own, possess, or control; and (2) mandate that individuals who keep more than four dogs in enclosures for most of the day must adhere to specific care standards.

HB 1976Invasive Species – Pet Store Pamphlet Requirement:
Amends Volume 16 (Trade Practices, Labor & Employment), Title 50 (Trade Regulations & Practices) of the Revised Code of Washington by adding a new section to require retail pet stores to provide informational pamphlets about invasive species to customers, aiming to prevent environmental harm from released pets and plants.

SB 5065Traveling Animal Act Restrictions: Amends Title 9 (Crimes and Punishment) of the Revised Code of Washington by adding a new chapter to prohibit the use of certain animals in traveling animal acts.  ENACTED (EFFECTIVE ON 7/27/25)
