Tell Radnor Township Board of Commissions to Vote No on Pet Ban

The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners has advanced an extreme ordinance that would prohibit the retail sale of all pets, including mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles.

The proposal would enact a total “prohibition”-style ban on the sale of all pets – and would push consumers into the unregulated black market while doing nothing to protect pets and closing responsible small businesses.

These local laws are being used to build momentum for statewide bans on the sale of all live animals, and we have seen an alarming increase in these local ordinances. The ordinance was shaped with input from outside activists and modeled after similar measures in other municipalities, like West Hollywood, imposing one-size-fits-all restrictions without addressing any real problem in the community.
