HB 295Single-Use Plastic Bag/Balloon Release Prohibition: Amends Title XVIII (Public Health), Chapter 224 (Environmental Protection), Subchapter 50 (Other Specific Types of Waste), Section 50-585 (Plastic Containers) of Kentucky Revised Statutes to: (1) Ban the retail use of plastic bags by 2030; and (2) Restrict the release of balloons into the atmosphere.  DIED IN COMMITTEE (SESSION ADJOURNED)
SB 122Regulation of Pet Shop Dog and Cat Sales: Amends Title XXI (Agriculture & Animals), Chapter 258 (Animal Control & Protection) of Kentucky Revised Statutes by creating a new section to:  (1) Regulate and restrict the sale of dogs and cats by pet shops; and (2) Provide state preemption over local ordinances governing pet shop rules.  DIED IN COMMITTEE (SESSION ADJOURNED)
