SB 269Animal Cruelty/Dog Tethering Restrictions:
Amends Chapter 574 (Cruelty to Animals: Preventions and Penalties), Section 574.100 (Torturing, overdriving, injuring or abandoning animals; failure to provide proper sustenance; requirements for restraining dogs and using outdoor enclosures; horse tripping; penalties; exceptions) of Nevada Revised Statutes to: (1) Prohibit a person from restraining a dog during any time in which a heat advisory has been issued for the area; and (2) Eliminate from provisions relating to animal cruelty certain exemptions that authorize a dog to be restrained in a certain manner or maintained in certain enclosures.
