Pet Advocacy Network Executive Vice President Bob Likins:

“The Pet Advocacy Network applauds the Members of Congress who came together in a bipartisan effort, and President Biden for signing into law, the Ocean Shipping Reform Act (S. 3580/H.R. 4996) that makes significant advancements towards an ocean transportation system that is competitive, efficient, and economical. This landmark legislation helps address the longstanding, systemic supply chain and port disruption issues that have crippled thousands of U.S. companies already challenged with rising inflation and skyrocketing costs, including importers, exporters, transportation providers and more. With pet ownership growing to an unprecedented 90 million American households, access to reasonably priced and readily available products to care for our beloved animal companions is imperative. The provisions of this legislation will strengthen the ability of the pet care community to meet this need, and support American families’ ability to experience the incredible benefits of the human-animal bond.”
